Kyriad Bergerac

The hotel needs a lot of upkeep. The air conditioner leaked, the wifi had problems, the pool wasn't maintained, and the garden looked neglected. There was dust all over the floors and the furniture by reception. Nearby, though, there are places for food and entertainment within walking distance, including a boulangerie, a meat restaurant, a laser game room and bowling.

After a four-hour drive, arriving at 22:15 and finding reception dark was the last thing I needed. The door had a number to call, but it only rang the phone left unattended at the front desk. Maybe nobody knew how to forward it to a mobile, or maybe they just didn't care. I kept calling from near the pool and the bar sign that said it was open until 22:30. After 45 minutes, with insects eating us alive, I gave up and went to the Ibis towards town. They had a 24-hour reception, gave me a room and a drink at the bar, and I slept well. I give IBIS 4/5 and KRYIAD -1/5, if I could. Maybe even less. And trying to get a refund? 😂 Jokers altogether.

Friendly staff and a pleasant mid-range hotel. October was too cold for me to use the pool, though I imagine it would be great for families in summer, especially with the nearby facilities.

The rooms were good and had kettles. There are pleasant grounds with a pool and tables beside it, plus a spacious reception area with a restaurant.
