After a day of cycling and visiting Chambord and Chenoceaux, we were glad to unwind in the sauna after dinner. Patrice was getting a delicious breakfast ready for us, and he’s well known for it. Our bedroom was charming, with an unusual, fun, romantic theme, and a very comfortable bed. The B&B is in quiet woods, just 8 km from Château du Chambord, making it an ideal place to stay while exploring. Patrice and Beatrice are warm, friendly hosts with a great sense of humor, and they had us laughing. They’ll make dinner if you’d like, and I recommend it. They’re wonderful cooks, and the meal was delicious. We were the only Americans at a table with four couples, and it was fun meeting people from France and Belgium. My French is very limited, but everyone was kind and welcoming anyway. It’s a lovely place to spend a vacation, and I can’t wait to return.

The people were warm and truly kind, and showed real interest in us. We had a spacious, comfortable bed, quiet rooms, and a lovely garden. Dinner was sublime, and the value for money was excellent.

Our spacious chalet had a very comfortable bed and a view of the woods, with no neighbors overlooking it. It’s tucked away from the main house in a quiet, natural setting. The Canadian/David Crockett style decor has clearly had a lot of thought put into it. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the hosts were charming and very welcoming, with excellent tips for local sightseeing. The one drawback was the WiFi and phone signal.

We had a delicious meal in lovely company during a truly special break on our holiday journey. The hosts welcomed us warmly, and the garden, more like a magnificent park, was a peaceful place to linger. We’ll be back!
