The town is lovely and has a lot of historical and religious importance, and Puy du Fou is about 15 minutes away. Check-in was great, and the apartment owners were very friendly. There were plenty of kitchen utensils and the place was well equipped. Our unit had a double bed and a sofa bed. The shower was only 60x60 cm, though there was a hairdryer and a small clothesline.

My five-year-old daughter fell while trying to climb up to the bunk above the sofa. That bunk feels dangerous and really isn't suitable for children. The sofa itself was rotten and in terrible shape. I don't mind sleeping on a sofa, but this one was awful. The room was only 18 square meters for three people, had no window, and didn't even have a proper bed. I booked through Booking.com with a non-refundable reservation, and only later realized what the room was like. The owner didn't care about the problems, and since it was already paid for, I felt stuck. It's disgraceful to put guests in a place like this. I'll never fall for this again.

The manager was incredibly kind and attentive, and there's even a washing machine you can use at no extra cost. It's a very pretty village, well placed for Puy du Fou, and the value for money is excellent.

For around €90 I found a four-person apartment through Booking.com for our Puy du Fou trip, and it turned out to be a really nice surprise. Apartment 8 was clean, well equipped, even with dish soap, and conveniently close to parking, a bank and a bakery. The staff were incredibly friendly, and they gave me another route to avoid the traffic heading to Puy. The place is a five-minute walk from Puy du Fou. In apartment 8 there are two small single beds rather than a double, plus a sofa bed, so bring your own sheets and towels. Really good.
