VVF Les Écrins Saint-Léger-les-Mélèzes

The bed was really comfortable, and the pool was lovely. We found the residence quiet and clean, with the slopes right there, so you can ski back to the locker. The apartment had everything we needed and made good use of a compact space. I’m struggling to think of downsides. If I had to nitpick, a shelf in the locker would be handy for storing ski boots up high 🤪. Thanks, VVF Les Écrins, we can’t wait to return!

We got a very warm welcome, and the location is pleasant, close to hiking trails. It seems like a good choice for a family break in a small, family-friendly resort. The pool wasn’t a highlight: it’s small, crowded, and noisy. Our accommodation was for five, but there were only two of us, luckily. The apartment would be far too small for a group of five.

After skiing, we enjoyed the heated pool and hammam. The apartments are small but comfortable, and being right at the foot of the slopes made it easy to get to the resort center. The kitchen was very well equipped, with an oven, dishwasher, toaster, and coffee maker. You can also borrow a raclette grill and hairdryer, which is fantastic. Thanks to the team!

That little sharing shelf is such a smart idea. Guests leave things they don’t need anymore, like sugar, shampoo, and other toiletries, and it’s incredibly useful. I’d really encourage other VVF resorts to try the same thing. We spent the week cooking whatever we wanted because the kitchen had everything and we didn’t lack a thing. The accommodation was spotless. The manager and the rest of the team were so kind and welcoming, and the warm atmosphere made us feel at home right away. A few things could be better: the pool was too cold, there wasn’t much entertainment, and the kids’ club was only open in the afternoon. We hadn’t been told that before arriving.
