We booked what looked like a lovely B&B for our trip to Spain, hoping to unwind by the pool with a swim, some sun, and a glass of wine. Instead, we weren't allowed to enter the property when we arrived at 1:00 PM. Check-in wasn't until 5:00 PM. We explained that we didn't need access to our room and would be happy just to sit in the garden, leaving them free to get on with their day. That was ruled out completely. Guests weren't welcome between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM. When I asked how that worked for people staying several days, she had no answer beyond saying she was exhausted and didn't want guests bothering her. Where we went in the meantime, she said, wasn't her concern. She then suggested we pay extra for the previous night if we wanted to come in. I thought she might be in the wrong line of work. We were meant to have a table d'hôtes, but I couldn't imagine the stay being enjoyable. In my best French, I told her, "If guests tire you out, we'll help you: we'll cancel the reservation!" So I left and found somewhere we were actually welcomed, which turned out to be entirely possible. I wouldn't give this place a one-star rating if I could give less. My advice to her is to close the B&B soon and find something that makes her happy.

The pool was lovely, and the grounds felt like a green refuge among enormous, beautiful trees. I really liked the place's character and its old-fashioned charm, which came through in both the decor and the renovation. A real pleasure.

We felt at home here, thanks to the very friendly hosts. Our ground-floor room was lovely, and breakfast was delicious at a beautiful table in the park. Simply wonderful, and we’ll definitely come back.

This magnificent estate is right in the heart of Burgundy. The rooms are decorated with great taste, and having a generous breakfast in such a setting feels magical. The hosts are professional and welcoming, and made sure our stay was very pleasant. I recommend it without hesitation.

The room was beautiful, the welcome very friendly, and the food was delicious. The wine tasted good, though a bottle was quite expensive. We stayed two nights, and the second one was disappointing. Breakfast was good, but dinner wasn't like the meal we'd had the day before. The hostess seemed stressed, and we had to cook for six people.
