We spent a long weekend at la Loubertine while visiting the area for friends' wedding, and couldn't have been happier. The grounds include gardens and a large fenced area for chickens, ducks, and a turkey. Martine and Hubert were warm, gracious hosts. They've put a lot of work into restoring and building out the lovely house, and even have books that show the work. Everything was clean and comfortable. Upstairs, there's a two-bedroom apartment, while the separate rooms down the hall each have their own shower and WC. The location is beautiful, and the house and accommodations are gorgeous. If you're visiting Beaune or the surrounding area, it's a quiet, comfortable place to stay.

On our way to the South of France, we had a great stay at La Loubertine. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a large bed. The owners were very hospitable, breakfast was amazing, and the recently renovated farm is beautiful.

I only booked this as a place to stop for the night, but it turned out to be far better than I expected. Breakfast was especially delicious and generous: freshly baked croissants, a rustic multigrain baguette, three kinds of homemade jam, plain homemade yogurt, eggs from their own free-range hens, and freshly brewed coffee. It was exactly what I like in a complete breakfast. They also have a nice apartment for a family holiday. I'd love to stay there someday.

What a lovely place for a stop on the way from The Netherlands to the South of France. The wonderful breakfast alone makes it worth a visit.

This boutique B&B and farmstay in Saint-Loup-Géanges made for a wonderful stay with Martine & Hubert. It's a handy base for exploring the Bourgogne region by car, with Beaune and the Route des Grand Crus just a short drive away. The B&B was renovated three years ago, with high quality fittings and tastefully decorated rooms. Breakfast was lovely, especially the delicious preserves Martine made. We also had a wonderful wine tasting with Hubert and Martine, and fed the animals one morning. Our French and their English were both limited, but we really enjoyed their company, especially Hubert's wicked sense of humour. Highly recommended.
