Hotel Kan Avel

The service was really good.

Breakfast doesn't begin until 8:15 a.m., which felt too late. The beds weren't comfortable either, and the shower and toilet sit under the sloping roof, so anyone tall will struggle. The hotel is in a good spot, and the welcome was fine, though the recent reviews turned out to be right about the poor soundproofing. Such a charming place with plenty of potential, which makes it a shame.

I could hear my neighbor snoring through the walls all night, so the soundproofing really needs work. The hotel is well located, but it's hard to see €105 as a fair price, even for that spot. My room was clean and comfortable, though small. The shower isn't in its own room, and it left the space quite humid.

The welcome was warm, and the place is right in the center of St. Lunaire. There's a lot to like, but the potential hasn't been realized. The rooms are small, the sound carries badly, and the decor feels dated. The bedding needs replacing too. The bathroom setup is split: a small tub with no door on one side, then a toilet and sink on the other. A few updates could bring back the hotel's charm. Breakfast starts too late, so we didn't get to try it.
