The gentleman was friendly and empathetic, which was a relief. The welcome from the woman, though, was appalling: after many years in the business, I found her unwelcoming and almost aggressive. We had two small dogs that weren’t allowed in the cottage, so they slept in the car. We apologized several times, and there was no damage noted. She should rethink how she treats guests, or stop working in tourism and hospitality. There’s no soundproofing, so it’s a poor choice if you want privacy. The bedding is outdated and very uncomfortable, though the rest of the accommodation is functional.

Fantastic place. The house is beautiful, the setting is very quiet, and you get complete privacy.
