The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, modern and quiet, which is very unusual in St Malo. Excellent hotel, right in the middle of the city.

All in all, a most enjoyable stay. The staff were helpful and courteous, and the room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. The hotel was very good and inside the walls, though parking can be a problem.

They started breakfast early because we had an early ferry, and the service was impeccable. We needed to change rooms and ended up with adjoining ones; the front-of-house team stayed positive and helpful. The rooms were a little small, but the bathrooms were big enough for a couple to share. Hot water, fine towels and faultless cleanliness. Five-star service. The location was convenient for St Malo's intra muros sites, the ferry and the intercity train station. Shopping was a bonus because we arrived on a sale day, with sales throughout. If you're interested in marine-style goods or brands like Lacoste/Petit Batesu, shopping that day might cover your expenses, especially if it happens more than once a year. St Malo has upgraded itself.

The old town is compact, so it was easy to walk everywhere, with very nice restaurants and creperies close by. Bus stops were also a super short walk away, very convenient. The desk staff were so friendly. Our apartment was nice, tidy and spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. We stayed in the first-floor apartment, up a very steep flight of stairs. That wasn't a problem for us since we travelled light.
