Hôtel Le Nautilus

It was so quiet that we overslept! The hosts were friendly and knew the area well, and the location worked perfectly for us. We'd love to come back and stay again.

We spent four nights here with my daughter, and the room was extremely cramped. It was so narrow between the wall and bed that I had to lift our carry-on to get it to the other side. I'm glad we only brought carry-ons. It was also very hot inside, even in September. The owner doesn't allow windows to be opened or food in the room. The only food I had was a packet of cheese. There are better options down the street.

We loved Saint Malo, and our stay at Hôtel Le Nautilus was a big part of that. The couple who run it are lovely, and gave us useful recommendations tailored to our interests and the length of our trip before we even had to ask. Our room was small, as expected in the Old Town, but had everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable that we're dreading going back to our own. Breakfast was lovely, with a great selection and more than enough food. We also loved being right in the Old Town, since it meant we could pop back to the room for things or a rest at any time. When we wanted to swim at the beach, they even offered extra beach towels. The hospitality and facilities were wonderful. Thanks so much for having us. We'll be back!

After biking from inn to inn through the Loire, the three of us needed a comfortable place to stop, and this was just right. Auralie welcomed us, shared tips for seeing the area, and booked restaurants for both nights. The hotel was spotless and had that fresh, cared-for feel. Breakfast was simple and just what we wanted.
