Inter-Hotel Les Ajoncs D'Or

I used the garage for a fee each night, which was really helpful because parking in Intra-Muros is very limited. The staff were great, and when I left something behind after checkout, they contacted me within 20 minutes. I stayed for two nights. My room was on the small side, but that didn't bother me much. The shower was cramped even for someone who's 5'3 and 150lb, though I'd say that's pretty typical for Europe. They offer breakfast in the morning, but I chose to visit some shops in town instead. I'd definitely stay here again.

The hotel was quiet and clean, with a central location in St Malo. The staff were friendly and eager to share information or answer questions. It's also kid friendly: the baby bed was clean, comfortable, and nice. There's an elevator, and a microwave you can use to warm baby food. We used the individual garage with a lockable door, which cost us 15 euro per day, though the price may change in peak season. Breakfast was adequate but had limited choices: croissants and a few other breads, tea, coffee, espresso, boiled egg, cereal, yogurt, and ham. That may be a drawback if you want a big breakfast with lots of options. I'd highly recommend staying here in St Malo.

The location is excellent, with shops, cafes, and restaurants close by. Rooms were clean but a little dated, and it was a thoughtful touch to have a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee. Breakfast costs extra, and I didn't see the need to get it when there are so many nearby choices, like bakeries that open early, if you're not picky.

We were a group of 12 and weren't sure how it would work out, but it turned out to be super easy. The place is beautiful and clean. Just watch out for rooms on the top floor: they get very hot even when it's not that warm outside. There is AC, but it's incredibly loud.
