Manoir 1685 Saint-Malo

The staff were so attentive, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The place itself is impressive. We had an incredible stay and would highly recommend it!

A pleasant setting and clean, good rooms. It suited us well as a stop while travelling on from St Malo port.

The living room was the best part. It’s inviting, nicely furnished, and has what you need for a short stay, whether you want to relax or get some work done. The bedroom has a very low ceiling, so if you’re tall, expect to bump your head. Both it and the bathroom feel built for much shorter people, more like “minions” than average-sized adults. There’s also a metal rod on the floor between the bedroom and bathroom doors, which is easy to trip over, especially at night. The bedroom gets uncomfortably hot even when it’s about 20°C outside, and there’s no air conditioning. I also didn’t feel very safe at night because the unit has no proper door and is accessed through a sliding garden door.

The room was quite nice and did the job for our one night. Finding reception was difficult. I wandered around and called, then eventually knocked on a door that looked like it led to a living room before someone came out. The owner wasn’t friendly and did the bare minimum, without even a smile.
