Le Calme De la Campagne au Sud de Paris

The bathroom had no ventilation, and there was mold around the tub that rubbed off easily. A towel had a hole, one pillow was stained, the cushion cover was marked too, and there were thick clumps of dust under the bedside table. The rooms also had a musty smell when we walked in. It didn't feel like the place had been cleaned properly before our arrival. When we checked in, a woman greeted us. At checkout she was asleep, so a man handled things instead. The breakfast was disappointing for the price. There was a packaged croissant, the sort sold in bags of ten, and we expected fresh bakery pastries and bread rather than toast. The homemade jam was good, though. I think the chocolate powder was the cheapest kind, and the tea was Carrefour brand. The orange juice was Recon brand. Warm milk came in a worn little stainless steel saucepan, when a jug would have been more suitable. There was also a cereal dispenser on a stand with very dirty feet that needed a proper clean. When we left, we paid for the service, and the coffee table was sticky and the gas hob was disgusting. It seemed the cleaning wasn't done often. For what it costs, I expected better. I think there are better and cleaner places, so I'd avoid this one.

The room and bathroom were comfortable and very clean. We were welcomed warmly, and the location was so quiet. The meals were excellent and generous, too. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

The Seine is very close by, so we could take an evening stroll there. We received a charming, warm welcome, and the setting was peaceful. The room and bathroom were very clean.

There was parking right on site, and the place was really clean. The room was very nice, and the hosts were incredibly kind. Really great.
