The owner gave us helpful tips for driving along the beautiful coastline. I stayed here in summer 2016, and even three years later this place still came vividly to mind whenever I thought of good memories in Normandy. She was British and the most welcoming, attentive hostel owner I met in Europe. She seemed to really enjoy her work. The fresh, typically French breakfast included a warm croissant and fresh orange juice, which I still miss. Our room and bathroom were clean, and there’s a parking lot if you’re travelling by car. I was more than satisfied with the warm hospitality. If I visit Normandy again, I’d happily stay here.

Jane and Paul speak English, and they offer free pick-ups from Mont Saint Michel or the train station. Breakfast is included and lovely. I had a clean room all to myself with a private shower room, which felt like a luxury. There’s a budget restaurant, The Oystercatcher, just a four-minute walk away. It’s such a fun place and sooo cheap! For the price, you can’t get better. It felt like home, only better. You’ve got to try it.

The pub up the hill is great, and the owners can also suggest local restaurants. They’ll pick you up from Mont St Michel or the train station, whichever you prefer, and drop you back at the station when you leave. The rooms are very comfortable and quite spacious, and breakfast is lovely. They only take cash or check, so keep that in mind. They know where the nearest ATMs or cash boxes are and are willing to take you there. I can’t wait to come back!

My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay for a great price. We got breakfast, sightseeing advice, lifts to and from the bus and train stations, and our own room with a private toilet and shower. The hosts speak English and French and are originally from the UK. Skip the cheap hotels at Mont St Michel. We had an excellent time a little farther away and got to visit San Malo too!
