Hôtel Restaurant Baryton

A clean, well-run place with good food and a friendly atmosphere. Convenient for both the town and the main roads.

The room and bathroom were spotless, with good hot water pressure, towels, a hair dryer, and the other basics. But the rooms are tiny, really tiny. Dinner doesn't start until 7:30 pm, and the menu is in French. When we asked about dishes, the staff were so unhelpful they came across as dismissive. The front desk staff weren't friendly either. We're from America and don't speak French. The breakfast buffet cost nearly $18 USD per person, which was way overpriced for stale canned fruit cocktail, croissants with jelly, scrambled fake eggs, and machine espresso. We went into town for some awesome Thai food for dinner, then tucked our tails in the morning just to get coffee. We stayed one night and would never come back. I don't recommend it to other Americans.

Dinner at the hotel restaurant was tasty and fresh, with great wine and very good price and quality. Breakfast had lots of choices and fresh products, too. The place was tidy and clean, the staff super friendly, and the bed was firm, just how we like it. We'd definitely come back!

The owners' behavior made the whole experience very poor. Hospitality was bad, especially from the lady at the desk, who was unwelcoming. She refused to print our boarding card because they were short on ink. Unacceptable.
