Les Cheres Meres

The food was a real highlight: Tina made a very tasty dinner, and breakfast on the terrace was a lovely start to the day, with a big continental spread. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a modern en-suite bathroom and shower. We spent three nights at Les Cheres Meres, using it as a base for Le Mans. The medieval old town is well worth seeing, and the historic racetrack has races throughout the year. It’s about a 15-minute drive from Le Man, so it works well if you’re coming for the racing and want somewhere comfortable to stay. I’d been there a few years earlier. There’s plenty happening at the property too. Tina and Mark have horses, dogs, cats, and chickens, all with their own characters. Our eight-year-old loved spending time with them, and Tina and Mark were lovely with him. It’s great for kids. Dogs can come too, and they have a dedicated room for them, which I think is quite unusual in the area. The place has a laid-back feel. Tina and Mark combine friendly service with a warm greeting that made us feel at ease straight away. If you’re staying around here or breaking up a drive south, I can’t recommend Les Cheres Meres enough.
