The hosts are warm and attentive, and the whole place is kept clean and in good shape. It’s easy to unwind here: there’s a big pool with parasols and loungers, plus a covered spot with a barbecue, griddle, and a large table for meals or card games. It really feels like a cottage where you can settle in.
There are tourist sites between 15 and 60 minutes away, and Christine can readily suggest where to go. She knows a lot about the region’s history. The property itself is a lovely, typical Dordogne estate, with three well-equipped cottages that welcome pets.
We’d happily come back. The accommodation was comfortable, and the setting was idyllic and well located. Christine and Alain welcomed us into one of their three gîtes, which has a pool and summer kitchen. They were thoughtful and attentive, clearly keen to make sure we had a pleasant stay, and we did.
The pool was lovely, and the studio made a great base for exploring. Everything was within a 20-minute drive, which was fantastic. We stayed for a week and got a very warm welcome. Mrs. Gouvernel also gave us plenty of tips on sightseeing, shopping, and meals. The studio was very well equipped.
