It’s a family run place, and you can tell they take pride in it. The staff are friendly, the restaurant serves a decent meal, and the location is great for exploring nearby. The rooms are a little small, but clean, and the beds are comfortable. For good value, a decent dinner, and friendly service, this is the place to go.

The spa and pool were nice, and more than I’d expect from a two-star hotel, though the jacuzzi wasn’t working properly and the water was only lukewarm. The room was basic but okay, about what I expected from a two-star place. Dinner from the à la carte menu was disappointing for the price. The service was very friendly, but the dishes seemed focused on filling you up and little else. I’m not sure why the hotel and restaurant get such impressed reviews. Maybe it was better in the past. There are excellent restaurants and B&Bs in the region for the same price or less. This isn’t the quality I’d usually get or expect inland in the Basque Country.

Quiet and charming, this is a thoughtful hotel and restaurant in the Basque Pyrénées mountains. The small dinner menu is well considered, with Basque specialities, and the wine selections are amazing. Saint Jean de Pied De Port is only a few kilometers away and is a must see. I’d highly recommend this for a quiet Basque retreat.

The pool is stunning and covered, so you can use it in bad weather. There’s also a gym and spa, and the food is great. The rooms are large, beautifully furnished, very clean, and well maintained. Super friendly place to stay, with wonderful staff.

We had our wedding here and it was perfect. The food is wonderful, the people are lovely, and the steak was the greatest ever! We come back year after year, and it just keeps getting better. Amazing place : )
