We slept really well in the little house, which used to be the old kitchen. It was thoughtfully laid out, spotless, and beautifully decorated, and even the summer heat didn’t warm it up inside. The garden is peaceful and lovely. The estate itself is truly unique, full of historic character and charm, with spacious, well-kept grounds. Signs share bits of its history as you explore, and there’s a paper map at the entrance. A relaxing stay we’ll remember.

The creamery was charming, with a garden where we could sit for dinner or just have a drink. The stairs are a little steep if you have mobility issues, or have had too much wine, but we managed fine. We spent one night here on our way from Paris to the D-Day beaches. The location is beautiful and the gardens are stunning. Even without staying overnight, it’s a lovely place to visit if you enjoy history or gardens.

The Manoir and its peaceful, beautiful gardens were stunning. After a day on the road, the private garden set aside for guests was such a warm and lovely place to unwind. We only booked a weekend, but our comfortable accommodation and warm host nearly had us trying to extend our stay.

The owners are lovely and happy to help if you need anything. They also know some nice places to visit in Normandie. We really enjoyed staying here as the starting point for our trip through Normandie. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood near Rouen, and the apartment has everything you need. There’s a beautiful garden to relax in and have breakfast, lunch, or dinner, with a barbecue available too.

Staying at Manoir de l'Aumônerie is a comfortable way to step into a rich history, quite different from a typical hotel or lodge. Just keep in mind that tours and events sometimes take place around the house, which can briefly interrupt your privacy, though that’s part of the experience. We had a wonderful time, with great service, kind hosts, and beautiful, peaceful surroundings. We’d love to come back and see how the house has progressed.
