Jérôme made us feel welcome right away. He was attentive, happy to help, and gave us useful local tips. We also loved the garden, a quiet green place to unwind, whether sitting on the terrace over the quality breakfast or relaxing by the trees. Our room, Prélude, had its own character and was carefully designed, with charm and comfort, and a very comfortable bed. The rest of Le Secret is renovated and furnished with the same care, creating a warm, modern feel. It’s around the corner from the harbour and close to everything you need. We had a fantastic stay, and would recommend it if you want somewhere central, peaceful, and stylish on Île de Ré.

Jerome and the team looked after us so well, and we’d certainly recommend Le Secret to anyone visiting Saint Martin. It’s a calm little oasis by the port, with a lovely garden to relax in. The hotel is beautifully decorated, with so much thought put into each detail. We had a wonderful stay.

Le Secret is in a great spot for discovering Ile de Re, and we’d highly recommend staying here for a relaxing, memorable break. The owners were so friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond for us. After a day out exploring, the peaceful indoor garden was a welcome place to rest. The rooms pair comfort with elegance, and are beautifully decorated. We especially enjoyed the refreshing, luxurious shower.

We spent four delightful days at Jerome’s guesthouse with our adult children. Phenix and Polka made the place feel especially homey, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. The house is stylish but still cosy and welcoming. It sits right in the town centre, yet feels like a quiet place to unwind. Book a spot on the roof terrace for drinks and that incredible view. Our host was wonderfully warm and hospitable.

We had such a magical time here with friends, and the location is ideal. Guests can get discounts at some local shops, too. The rooms are all different, but each has lovely design, plenty of space, and high ceilings. The room I had for one night was probably the chicest I’ve ever seen, with black and gold and brown wood. You really do feel special staying here. There’s a beautiful garden and yard with a pool, and eating outside was a real pleasure. Great for couples, solo travellers, or friends. We can’t wait to return.
