We were happy to find this place, and maybe we should keep it secret. The Villa is comfortable and still has its original charm. Our room was spacious and cool; we could hear a little noise from the breakfast room upstairs, but it wasn’t intrusive. The staff were welcoming and helpful. This will be our first choice when we stay in Saint-Martin again.

Even though I booked just 24 hours before check-in, everything was wonderful. This is a beautiful little sanctuary with an outstanding hotel, facilities, and service, and a real boutique feel. I think it deserves a rating well above three stars. Marie at the front desk was so welcoming and accommodating. I’ve recommended it to family in France and friends in the UK, and can’t wait to come back for a longer stay.

Room 1 was lovely, and the property is in a great location. A mini fridge would have been useful, as would cold tap water instead of bottled water. The continental breakfast could also use some yoghurt and fruit.

We’ve known Hotel Le Galion for more than 20 years, but this was our first time staying in the villa. The room was lovely and looked over the pool, and we were very comfortable. Breakfast had a wide choice of food and a view of the harbour entrance. We stay here on every visit to Île de Ré. Thanks for a wonderful weekend and for the cheerful staff.

I stayed with my daughter and our little pet, Pol, a miniature poodle. Everything was convenient, and the attention to detail made the accommodation feel comfortable and lovely. It’s right in the heart of the city, by the port of San Martín. The staff were delightful, especially Víctor Manuel. Thank you for making our stay on this perfect island even more wonderful.
