Hotel Moderne

Nothing to report.

Breakfast was a full, efficient spread, and the bathroom had what I needed; the TV worked fine too. My one complaint was the mattress, which sagged and wasn’t very comfortable. The room itself was clean and well kept, and the staff came across as welcoming and professional. For what it costs, I had an impeccable stay and would highly recommend it.

My room was very clean, despite what some other reviews said. The bedding could have been more comfortable, but the price was excellent value. It seems ideal for a short trip while visiting Paris, and the reception staff were very friendly.

I’ve been trying to call since 8 this morning because there’s no hot water and I need a shower, but the woman on staff just yells at me. I really don’t recommend this place. The staff were incredibly unfriendly, and the rooms made me feel unsafe. I suspected some of the other complaints were just complaints, but the reports about water and noise seem true. I also felt women traveling alone were being put in back rooms with street-facing windows that don’t close properly. She should have told me about that, so I ended up changing rooms three times. Avoid it!
