The campsite’s pool wasn’t ready, and the bar/restaurant wouldn’t serve food. We also saw plenty of empty mobile homes as we left along the little road beside the site, even though rentals were apparently only for workers. Transients aren’t accepted because there are no restrooms, though we could see some in the distance and wondered if they were working. The new owner’s business policy is still unclear. Nothing had been finalized, but the season was already well underway. Annual guests pay €800 a month, much more than at other campsites. The campsite has been bought, and it didn’t inspire any confidence in us. We found the place strange and wouldn’t recommend this very particular campsite. I’m not wearing a mask...

The owner’s behavior was strikingly aggressive and completely paranoid. Avoid this place. Since the campsite reopened, there’s been less vegetation, and the environment is suffering.

The Îles du Grand Large campsite is now called Camping des 4 Saisons (Four Seasons Campsite). It used to be a peaceful, pleasant setting, but disturbances from the new managers have spoiled the quiet they were supposed to preserve. There are more mobile homes now, intended for seasonal workers.
