Savoy Hotel

The location is central, and the staff were very helpful. The room was clean, and we had a good time overall, though both the room and restaurant smelled bad. We got used to it. The food was okay. Since it’s a 2 stars hotel, I wasn’t expecting much.

I was travelling by bicycle and found the staff kind and really helpful. The breakfast was good too. The best hotel on my trip, and I’d recommend staying here.

The bed was very comfortable, and the room, though old and tired, was clean. Dinner was good, especially the excellent tartiflette, but the house red tasted like a bottle that had been open for a couple of days. Breakfast cost extra and was a typical French spread: a glass of orange juice, a croissant, two pre-cut baguette slices, and coffee. The bathroom was disappointing, as is so often the case in French hotels. I’ve stayed in plenty where the shower hose leaked and had to be held up while showering. If I had a pound for every time, I’d probably be rich enough to stay somewhere more upmarket.

It’s quiet, and the view takes in the railway and river if you get a room with a balcony. The building is old, but it’s a great spot for travelers who want to be in the center of the village. : )
