Domaine de Granval

The pool was a real plus: large, clean, and refreshing, even though it’s close to a fairly busy road. Our room stayed cool in the heat, and the bed was comfortable. The rest of the stay was much more difficult. We spent a few days at the estate, and on arrival were told we couldn’t have breakfast outside on the big covered terrace because of wasps and hornets. We were prepared to take that risk, but our host reacted explosively. He said he’d never seen tourists refuse to stay inside and didn’t understand that this could ruin his season. That was especially hard to understand since dinner was served on the terrace every night. Apparently jam was the problem, though meat was fine. We were nearly kicked out for not giving in. We had our first breakfast indoors, and that was the only one of our four nights.

The food was excellent, and the location was just as wonderful. We spent two weeks at this beautiful place and found the owners so friendly, kind, and attentive. A big thank you to you both again. We’d gladly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone passing through the Lot department. Nathan, Pol, and Nathalie 🙂

The pool was a wonderful bonus after days out, and it was large and clean. Each morning we got suggestions for places to visit and pleasant spots nearby. Domaine de Granval made a lovely base for exploring the Dordogne, with charming villages and beautiful sights close by. Our beds were made daily and we had fresh towels. Breakfast was decent, and Fabrice made something delicious each evening from simple ingredients. There was always something tasty for our daughter too. We had a very enjoyable week, thanks! We can recommend it to everyone. 🫶

The evening meals were really, really good. Our room was clean and practical, with the bathroom and toilet separate. We felt at home during our two nights at Domaine de Granval. The setting was pleasant, and the pool area was a refreshing place to spend time. Our hosts gave us a perfect welcome, and were warm, discreet, helpful, and available.
