The breakfast really stood out for us, especially the homemade traditional breads made with local ingredients. Sarah even packed some for us to take along on the next part of our bike ride. Sarah and Patrick were wonderful hosts and made us feel at home, and our room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. We only wished we’d had more time to enjoy the pool and grounds. We visited on a summer cycling trip and would love to come back. We can’t recommend the place enough.

We’re already making plans to return. The room was spacious and spotless, and the hosts made us feel very welcome. It’s a lovely hotel in a picturesque village. Highly recommended.

Breakfast came with homemade jams and cake, and the house itself is gorgeous, beautifully refurbished. Our room was spotless and tastefully decorated. St Paul is a lovely place to explore, with a particularly beautiful Provencal Romanesque cathedral. Patrick and Sarah welcomed us warmly, made space for our bikes in the garage, and opened the pool so we could cool off after cycling. They were patient with our halting attempts at French, too. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We can’t recommend Hotel Payan-Champier highly enough.
