The rooms are bright and colorful in this beautiful little boutique hotel, about a five-minute walk from the public beach. We’d booked a double room with a shared bathroom, but it had been double booked. The owner moved us to a much larger room with its own bathroom and a balcony. Great customer service!

The hosts were very welcoming and gave me useful tips on local places, including nearby bakeries and good spots to watch the sunset. I stayed in a single-occupancy room, which was excellent value, with a comfortable mattress, compact fridge, and reliable Wi-Fi. There’s also a shared outdoor seating area. The beach is only a 10-minute walk away, on a stretch considered one of Réunion’s finest, though swimming is prohibited because of sharks. This beachside place in St. Giles is a comfortable, affordable base for exploring Réunion, especially for solo travelers.

The manager was really helpful, and everything was clean and tidy. I liked the fun decor and the good location. Only drawback for me was the slightly small bathroom.

The beach is about 200 meters away, and the Wi-Fi worked well for remote work, even on the terrace. Totally recommended.
