Hôtel Les Créoles

A very good hotel, just five minutes from the ocean. Clean, with friendly staff.

The location was great and the price was decent compared with nearby hotels, but the rest didn't earn more than three stars from me. The room was noisy: road sounds came through, and late arrivals or early departures in nearby rooms could wake you. Ours also hadn't been cleaned properly when we arrived, with sticky stairs and some suspicious marks on the couch. Otherwise, it was OK. Service felt uneven. For some reason, the white employees seemed snobbish and barely said hello, while the Creole employees, at least I guess they were, with tanned skin were professional and likable. Good job to them. Breakfast was quite expensive for what was available. Paying 7€ per day for the hotel's inner parking also didn't feel great, though it seemed almost necessary with a rental car. We expected much more. It wasn't awful or good, just OK overall.

The kitchenette is very basic, with no sharp knife, kettle, or sink plug, even though you're expected to wash your own dishes. Apart from that, the room and rest of the hotel felt five-star. The swimming area was beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a five-minute walk to the beach. We really enjoyed our three-night stay.

There's a big pool and enclosed parking, and the staff were great, doing their best to make the stay as pleasant as possible. We'd use them again when we come back.
