La Maison Des Palmes

The bungalows are on a private property in a very pretty setting, but our accommodation felt cramped and awkward to use. It sleeps three, yet there were only three or four sets of dishes at most. The plastic jacuzzi was squeezed into a tiny space. There were few outlets and not much equipment. We left a light on that couldn't be switched off. When we came back and found it off, it gave the impression that the owner had gone into the property. The rules clearly say the jacuzzi can't be used after 10 pm. We were on vacation, chatting with music on, when the owner came over right at 10 to complain that it was too loud, which it really wasn't. She came in without asking permission. We're locals and had booked five days to cycle and spend evenings with friends, not to stay somewhere that felt like a retirement home. We also had electric bikes and couldn't find a safe place to park them. When we asked about it while it was drizzling, the owner said it wasn't a problem. We insisted because the bikes are valuable, but she wouldn't listen. Even though we'd paid, we decided to leave on the first day and find somewhere better suited to a proper holiday.
