We still miss the homemade plain yoghurts, but breakfast in the Orangery was very good and nearly earned full marks. The bedroom was really comfortable, and Pierre welcomed us with the same warm hospitality as ever. We stayed with Martine & Pierre for one night again, on our way home from a family camping trip in southwest France. Pierre reminded us that our first stay was back in 2011.

Pierre was quick to answer my messages and really helpful throughout our stay at Relais des Caillères. The facilities were great, with plenty of little extras and everything needed if you wanted to prepare your own breakfast. We also thought the breakfast and dinner trays were excellent and well priced. It’s a stylish, comfortable place that’s beautifully presented, and we’d happily come back. Thanks, Pierre, for the lovely hospitality.

We were three friends on motorcycles and one of us in a car, and wished we could have stayed longer than a single night. The rooms were lovely, and there was plenty to eat at breakfast in the Orangery. It’s a beautiful place, and the owner was very friendly and extremely helpful.

After a long day in the car, it was such a relief to be welcomed so warmly. The room was comfortable and warm, and the bed was decent, so we got a great night’s sleep. Thank you, Christophe Dakin.

A quiet place in nice surroundings, and good value for money if you’re stopping on the way farther south. But there was virtually no service. I’d avoid the offered dinner or breakfast: it arrives in a plastic bowl that you have to put in the microwave yourself. Very strange.
