Le Galet Hôtel & Spa

We left almost as soon as we checked in. For the price, the quality didn’t feel acceptable, and it wasn’t what we expected from a 3-star hotel. I later explained this to the manager, who hadn’t been there, to give them a chance to refund us, but never got a reply. At 3pm our room still wasn’t ready, and the receptionist greeted us coldly. We were told to wait by the pool, with no coffee or anything offered. That area wasn’t pleasant, with red and white tape across part of it and a broken shower. When we finally saw the room, it smelled bad under all the air freshener the cleaners had sprayed. There was black mould in the corners, badly painted over, and the room was dark and small. Soundproofing was terrible: we could hear everything from the rooms above and next door. The hotel’s overall quality didn’t justify the price either, especially with a noisy campsite and busy road next to it. Another staff member was kinder and offered us the PMR room as an alternative, though they couldn’t refund us. We found that room just as poor. The spa and breakfast seemed like a ripoff, though thankfully we got back €100+ for the services we didn’t use. The jacuzzis are in an outdoor shed that didn’t look relaxing. We had to find somewhere else to stay at the last minute. It didn’t feel like a night away at all.
