The owners were a welcoming, pleasant couple, and the apartment felt comfortable and homely from the start. It's modern, cozy, well equipped, clean, beautifully decorated, and laid out really well. The large terrace was a pleasure, and the barbecue made it great for meals. The area is peaceful and calm but still has a lively, distinctive Creole feel, away from the noise and crowds downtown. You can see the sea just outside, and it's not far to walk there. A main road nearby makes it easy to reach the highways, and the car was parked right out front. The TVs are in the bedroom, with none in the small living room, in case that matters to anyone. It didn't bother us.

The owner was very welcoming and showed us around town, including the places from his childhood. One highlight was a short climb over the rocks by the sea, a unique Creole outing to look at marine life ;) The apartment was clean, in a run-down but quiet and safe neighborhood. It's not far from a little beach for swimming or from the town center.

The studio itself was great, comfortable, and well laid out, but the soundproofing was poor. We had a bad vacation experience. The neighborhood felt unsafe, the neighbors seemed to spy on us all day, music went until 5 a.m. and started again at 11 a.m., and stray dogs barked through the night. Cleaning fees were included even for a short stay.
