La Kazaka Terre Sainte

The rooms were clean, air-conditioned, and tastefully decorated. Breakfast and service were amazing: homemade yogurt, smoothies, and cakes, plus fresh bakery bread and croissants, or perhaps she made those too, I can’t remember, but everything tasted great. The owner also gave us great tips for snorkeling, restaurants, hikes, and other activities. Out of the five places we stayed during our island trip, this was our favorite.

The decor is lovely, and breakfast was great. The rooms are small and have no windows, parking isn’t guaranteed, and the streets are very narrow. Check-in isn’t available until 5 pm.

The room was right next to the pool. It wasn’t very big, but it was charmingly furnished and spotlessly clean. The shared breakfast on the private first-floor terrace was the highlight for us: freshly prepared each morning, with homemade jam and cake, fresh juice, yogurt with fruit salad, scrambled eggs, and everything else you could wish for. We especially enjoyed chatting with Karine, our hosts, and the other guests. The place is tucked down a quiet little alley and can be tricky to find, but once inside it has a special atmosphere. The town center, restaurants, and beach are all an easy walk away. We received a warm welcome and had a great stay. We’ll always cherish the memories.

Karine and Fred were so attentive, and took time to have coffee and chat with us. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and the room was magnificent and tastefully decorated. It’s a memorable place for our next trip to Réunion, just steps from the ocean and very well located.
