The village is lovely and only a short walk away, with longer hikes nearby too. We stayed two nights in our camper van at Camping Pre-Coulet, a peaceful, well-kept place. The owner and staff were delightful, and the showers and toilets were really clean.
A useful tip if you pitch on a slope: set up with your head pointing uphill and you should sleep fine. This is a quiet, leafy campsite beside a small river in the Ardèche mountains. You can swim in the river in July and August, when the village fills a small pool.
We had a fabulous stay and are planning to come back next year. The team were so friendly and helpful, and swimming and cooling off in the mountain river pool was a great balance to all that hot weather.
The location is good, and the staff are nice.
