B&B et Gite d'ayran

My daughter and I had to sleep in the car after nearby hotels turned out to be full. I’d booked by phone that afternoon and explained we’d arrive late because of an equestrian competition. I kept our host updated through the evening, but at 10:30 PM he called to say he couldn’t take us because it was too late and he wanted to go to bed. We asked if he could leave the key somewhere, as many B&Bs do, but he refused and said, “Find yourselves somewhere else to sleep, I’m going to bed.” A complete disgrace and unbelievable lack of professionalism. Please change careers.

The homemade citron jam at breakfast was a real treat, and the house was impeccably clean. It’s a peaceful spot with a lovely pool and a superb welcome. I highly recommend it, and we’ll definitely stay here again if we return to the area.

The cottage is very nice, with a lovely garden and pool, and we enjoyed the breakfast. The room arrangement could have been clearer when we booked: we were told there were four bedrooms, but two are in the cottage attached to the house and the other two are in the owners’ home. My wife and I stayed in one of the rooms in their home and were woken at 8:00 a.m. by the owners making a lot of noise, washing dishes and moving furniture. For the price, we expected to sleep peacefully until breakfast.

The setting is magnificent, and Sylvie and Alain made us feel very welcome. They’re friendly and happy to suggest places to visit and things to do. We had a very pleasant stay and would gladly come back.
