ibis Saint Quentin Basilique

The location made it easy to explore the city, and the stay was very pleasant. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff made us feel welcome. Good value for money, and I’d recommend it.

The Basilica view is breathtaking. Everything else was good too.

The staff were great and very informative, and the hotel is well placed across from the Basilica. There’s no parking on site, so you need to use public parking, which can be difficult. The bathroom felt dated, and the bath had a repair patch from earlier damage. Still, yes, I’d stay again.

We made good use of the tourist information office nearby at the start of our visit. They gave us useful tips and suggestions, and we went on to see museums, parks, and the basilica across the street. Some places were walkable and others needed a short drive. We enjoyed the area as much as the hotel. We stayed six nights after travelling from the UK via Le Shuttle and the A26 Autoroute. The journey was straightforward both ways. Our double room on the top floor, floor 5, looked out over the stunning basilica. It was comfortable and had enough space, with a good shower. The staff were friendly from the moment we arrived and handled our limited French well. Breakfast was a pretty decent continental spread each day on the ground floor by reception. We parked in the underground Hotel de Ville car park, beneath the town hall square, a short walk away. You can briefly pull up right outside the hotel to drop off or pick up.
