Hostellerie du Prieuré

We found a room at the last minute after a nearby campsite had closed. The welcome was friendly, and the price was reasonable. The hotel sits on a typical, plain square, with parking possible right by the entrance. Our room was standard and clean at first glance, though a bit dusty and dated, like something from the 80s. The restaurant is about 50 meters away, but we didn't go there.

The food was the reason we chose this place for two nights while travelling through the Voges, after doing a lot of research. Over our 37-day trip, we planned around food, with most restaurants booked six months ahead and many Michelin-rated or starred. Here, the meals were made with real care and skill, and the restaurant was by far the friendliest we visited. Both meals were exceptional in every respect, with wonderful flavours. The room was fine too. Congratulations to the family running it. We felt lucky to find it, and I promise we'll return.

We stayed for two nights because of the restaurant. The food was fantastic, and the chef was great. It was good value, though the beds felt like marshmallows and were much too soft for me.

We spent the day at a spa about 15 minutes away, then came here for dinner and stayed the night. Everyone at the Hostellerie was so kind and lovely, and the food was amazing!
