SOWELL Family Riviera

The rooftop pool is beautiful, and the free bicycles are a nice option, though there are no bike lanes. There are no charging stations on the property either. The place is split between a new section and an old one. Most rooms are in the old section, and while everything works, they look more like they’re 30 years old than the 20 claimed. The new rooms, with gardens or terraces, are modern but really too small. The village setup uses a bracelet, and the restaurant is open continuously from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm, which is a strange schedule. By 10:00 pm everything shuts down. The food is more than acceptable and all self-service. The drinking water is poor, including the sparkling water.

The pool was perfectly maintained, and having direct access to the beach was a real bonus. The manager was very attentive, and all the staff were lovely. We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at Sowell Family Riviera. Our apartment was spacious and had a sea view. The food was consistently varied, plentiful, and high quality. Lunch was convenient when we were heading out, since containers were provided to take the meal with us. The accommodation, food, and location all came together for a memorable stay.

We had a lovely family week, with professional staff who were always attentive. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the peaceful surroundings made it easy to relax. The hotel is well located, just steps from the sea and coastal path, which was perfect for beautiful walks.

The desserts were good and there was a decent variety, and the restaurant staff were quick and attentive. Main course choices were limited, though, and lunch was mostly takeaway food to reheat. We stayed at the Sowell Riviera Family, in a lovely, spacious apartment. The bathroom really needs renovating. The pool looks great, but splashing makes it almost impossible to sit on a lounger without getting wet. Parking on site costs extra, and a space near our apartment wasn't guaranteed. Sometimes we had to park across the resort. The shared areas could have been cleaner. It's a complex close to the sea and not far from the center of St. Raphael.
