Le Mas des Carassins

Our ground-floor room, Le Bio, was clean and roomy enough, with comfortable bedding and a small private sitting area outside the door. The one drawback was poor ventilation. It got humid and stuffy by early morning, and opening the front door for fresh air let mosquitoes in. A screened window would have helped. The location is convenient, less than a 15-minute walk from delightful St Remy, and the service was warm, friendly and efficient. Breakfast was modest but covered the basics, and the dining room was a pleasant spot for morning coffee. The garden and outdoor dining spaces were beautiful and peaceful. There was a nice pool, though I didn’t get to try it, as well as several electric car charging stations. A lovely place for a few days, and I’d probably stay again.

It’s a lovely little boutique hotel in a beautiful town, with really nice and accommodating staff. The grounds and the old building that houses the rooms are beautiful. Our larger suite was pleasant, but dark and a bit dreary, with no windows looking out onto anything. We stayed in the room called the stable, which made sense. It probably wasn’t the best room in its category, but overall it was a nice place to stay.

We had two rooms, one with twin beds for our sons in their twenties and a balcony suite for my wife and me. The staff were tremendously helpful, and both the rooms and beds were exceptionally comfortable. One of our best hotel stays, quite simply.

We spent all 3 nights eating at the restaurant, and it was absolutely amazing, the best meal I had in southern France. The hotel was amazing too, from the large rooms and rainfall shower to the comfortable beds and helpful staff. There are two big pools and plenty of spots around the grounds to sit and lounge. I met Roxanne and Jeremy, who have been coming here for 13 years, and also met one of the owners, Pierre. I highly recommend staying here.
