Le Saint Remy

We stopped in as visitors for breakfast, and it was a real highlight. The buffet had plenty to choose from: colorful filled croissants, fresh pastries, good bread, fruit and other treats, plus a solid range of drinks. Everything was fresh and nicely presented. The restaurant sits in a beautiful historic building, with a shaded inner courtyard that feels especially pleasant in summer. Hotel Le Saint-Rémy is right at the edge of the old town, and has on-site parking and electric car charging if requested in advance. The staff were welcoming and helpful. After 40 years of traveling widely and eating everywhere from family-run spots to Michelin three-star restaurants, this is my honest take: highly recommended for a relaxed, quality breakfast in a lovely setting.

The staff were friendly, the room was spacious and felt luxurious, and the location was prime. We made use of the downstairs bar and pool during a fantastic stay. The only letdown was that the rooftop restaurant was closed while we were there. I’d recommend it.

We were ten doctors from the UK, cycling in the south of France for the first time. Our first stop from Avignon was Saint Remi, and heavy rain greeted us. Miss Fardiyal, the concierge and receptionist, was already ready for us and made sure her team welcomed us with warm towels. She also arranged storage for our bikes straight away and got our room keys to us promptly, helping make the stay fantastic. We’ve been in quite a few five-star hotels, but the service here was on another level. We were given free access to the basement, with pool tables, spa facilities, a swimming pool, and a masseuse. Top-class service, and we look forward to coming back!

The staff made our visit especially memorable. Traveling with two young children isn’t easy, but everyone was patient, kind, and accommodating, and said yes to every request with a smile. Thanks to Rashita, Laurent, Oliver and Dharshini for making it extra special. Our family of four, with girls aged 2 and 5, had a wonderful five-night stay. The family suite was immaculate and spacious, with two separate sleeping areas, and housekeeping came twice a day. After touring villages in Provence, the pool was perfect for the kids. The restaurant was delicious, especially the truffle risotto, and had a good kids menu. The hotel is right in the heart of Saint Remy, with shops and restaurants just outside. We can’t wait to return.
