The only real plus was being close to the slopes. The rooms were disgusting, with mold, dust, and leftover food in the cupboard. The guests are expected to clean everything before leaving, but it was obvious the place hadn’t been cleaned before we moved in. Staff checking the rooms nitpicked and made people with disabilities clean, even though nothing was dirtier than when we arrived. They provided no cleaning supplies, then watched over our shoulders and ordered us around to clean small things. A light didn’t work, the shower had cold water on some days, and the faucet was broken. Reception gave another group the wrong keys, leaving us waiting in the cold for an hour. Security knocked for any sound, even when it wasn’t loud, and seemed to give as many warnings as possible so they could charge you. You also have to be quiet after 22:00. Take a video of the apartment and anything broken before moving in. They may try to charge you for even a tiny thing. I would not recommend this place.

Despite the beautiful location, I’d tell people to stay away and save themselves the money and stress. We came as a group of university students and were asked for a €1800 deposit, which we paid by bank card. When we returned at the end of our five-day trip, they said they couldn’t give our money back. It’s an absolute disgrace, and we will pursue legal action against Madame Vacances. The tenants are expected to clean the rooms beforehand, so ours were left in an unclean and unsanitary state. We will indeed be taking legal action against Madame Vacances.

The rooms were tiny, dirty, and had only the bare minimum. We paid a 150 deposit on arrival, but they refused to return it when we left, blaming damage to the roof in another building that had nothing to do with us. Six foam panels were broken, and because of that they decided to keep deposits from all the buildings.

We paid €150 per person, and some of the associations that come here bring more than 100 students. They asked us for a €3000 deposit and refused to return it. This is apparently what they do to all the associations. They’re embezzling over €40k, which is insane. I don’t understand how they’re not in jail. Please call the police on them.

The village is lovely, with great bars and restaurants and fantastic slopes for skiing and snowboarding. I’d happily visit Saint Sorlin again, but I’d definitely avoid this accommodation and find somewhere else to stay. The room itself was disgusting and dirty. The bathroom was covered in black mould, the beds had stains, and management and staff were unbelievably rude. When we left, people were lined up in the street waiting for their room inspections so they could get their deposits back. We were told to scrub the apartment, including the oven and facilities we hadn’t used, even though we’d left it as we’d found it. They don’t have their own cleaning service. Some of us, ourselves included, waited hours for an inspection. Sadly, this was as bad as the other poor reviews suggest.
