Résidence Odalys L'Orée des Pistes

The internet was painfully slow. WiFi barely worked, and the Orange FR connection in the rooms was poor too. It took minutes just to open the review tab so I could write this. The security setup worried me most. The room doors stay open without a code, while the inside door to reception is locked, which makes it hard to get help. Cleanliness was poor as well: the sheets smelled stale and unclean. The kitchen had almost no equipment, the Hammam didn’t work, and the pool was too cold to enjoy. A cheap price doesn’t make up for all that. I wouldn’t recommend this residence.

We were a group of 27 for our annual ski trip, and the location was hard to beat. You step outside, put on your skis or snowboard, and the slopes are only metres away. The restaurant downstairs serves great food at a decent price, with an outdoor terrace too. There’s also a billiard room and a movie room that anyone can use. For what we paid, the rooms were good quality and spacious, and the pool, sauna and hammam were great. The staff were super friendly. A big shoutout to the girls around Eva and her reception colleagues, who were there for us day and night, and to Alex at the restaurant, who looked after us day in and day out. We absolutely loved staying here. 🙏

It’s right next to the slopes, just like the name says, and the price is incredibly good. If you want a fairly calm, relaxed week of skiing, it’s perfect. The rave bar is only a short walk away, though it’s often overcrowded, so look elsewhere if that’s the sort of trip you want.

The rooms are dated, though acceptably clean, and you should be prepared for student groups partying in the corridors. The location right by the piste is great: you can ski straight to your apartment, and there are lockers for your ski gear.
