It’s been over a month and our deposit still hasn’t been returned. We couldn’t get hold of property management, and nobody answered the phone for a long time. Eventually someone picked up after many attempts and said the refund hadn’t been processed yet but they’d sort it out right away. That was eight days ago. We still have neither the deposit nor any further update.

This is standard Odalys accommodation, budget friendly and no frills. The central location is excellent: it’s opposite the tourist information and beginners’ slopes, so there’s no need to take the bus anywhere. One thing to know is that block A has no elevator, while block B does. I’m not sure about the other blocks. Some of the top apartments lose about a third of their usable space to the sloping ceiling.

The apartment was large and nice, with a lovely mountain view. It’s in the building with the lift, a short walk from the village centre, shops, bars and slopes. The downside is that the apartments need serious updating. WiFi and TV are ridiculously expensive, and it’s a shame there’s no sauna or swimming pool.

The electric hob was positioned so close to the fridge that it started burning it. We also had no hot water for washing and the heating was inadequate, so it felt like an Arctic stay. There was no TV or internet, and we couldn’t buy either because reception was never occupied. The location is great, but the hotel felt too casual to me.

The apartments are poorly maintained, and there are no proper dividers between rooms, just rolling walls.
