We really liked the little restaurant next door. The owner was super friendly and the food was incredible. Our included breakfast was nice too, and the staff were friendly. The patio is lovely, though getting there was a challenge. There’s no sign at all, just an unassuming door off the street. When I mentioned how hard it was to find, the gentleman, who was absolutely lovely, said it was a common problem. I don’t know why they haven’t tried to fix it if it happens so often. 🤷🏼‍♀️ We booked the upstairs room because it looked cool in the pictures, but it turned out to be pretty odd, reached by very steep, tiny metal stairs. The room also didn’t feel very modern. There was an old shower curtain dragging on the floor, which didn’t seem sanitary, and a sink right in the middle of the room. It was all a bit weird. Saint-Tropez hotels are very expensive, and we booked only a few days ahead, when most places were already sold out.

I arrived in July expecting an actual hotel, then found out it was just three rooms on a rooftop. The reception was a flimsy wooden cabin. I was also shocked that the listing showed pictures that weren’t of this place, but of hotel La bastide de St Tropez, a 5* plus hotel that costs at least eight times as much. This is ILLEGAL ADVERTISING. I left after a few hours and checked into somewhere else because I couldn’t bear sleeping in a room with completely see-through glass doors on a random rooftop. Disgusting. Good evening. Yes.

We booked six months ahead, but when we arrived on 14 August, they told us there was no vacancy. Manager Angelo treated us badly the whole time, blamed us for their mistake, and did nothing to fix the situation. We were left with nowhere to go late at night in a crowded city. Terrible experience. I do not recommend!

The staff were friendly enough, and breakfast the next morning was nice. Still, I’m not sure I’d return. There was no hot water, no blankets, no body wash, and no sign to help us find the accommodation. Reception was a wooden shed on a rooftop area that needed some care and redecorating. I’d describe the place as somewhere between a motel and a hostel.

I never write reviews, but I feel I have to warn anyone thinking of staying here: DO NOT STAY HERE. This is a scam, and it is NOT A HOTEL. Stay far, far away. I wish I could give it a NEGATIVE ZERO.
