The room had everything I needed to make meals, and the appliances all worked. They even left a little basket with dishwashing supplies, and there’s a dishwasher too. I booked a smaller room since I was traveling alone, and it suited me very well. Next time I’ll choose one of the larger rooms. Dominique made a real effort to make me feel welcome and check that everything was right. Garden Cottage is close to the shops, restaurants, bakery, and small convenience store, right in the city and about 50 metres from the lovely boardwalk by the Somme. I found it online and booked three nights based on the reviews, and I wasn’t disappointed. The area is well worth visiting. I saw a seal twice, though it didn’t stay up long enough for a photo. I’ll be back!

We had a really good breakfast in the Lily Room and enjoyed eating it out on the terrace. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and the place is in a great spot with off-road parking.

We felt tucked away in the countryside, with trees and greenery all around, even though the city center was only a few steps away. Gribouille, our cat, loved it as well. The owner gave us a warm welcome, and the accommodation was spotless. We’ll be delighted to return soon.

We’ve stayed here several times, and coming back is always a pleasure. The owners are welcoming, and the peaceful, lovely setting makes it easy to relax. Garden Cottage in Saint-Valery really is a gem, and I’d recommend it without hesitation.
