Ferme de Pouligny - gite insolite

We barely speak French and the hosts don't speak English, but translation apps got us through just fine. They were excellent hosts, and the location worked well for seeing the D-Day sites and the rest of Normandy. Make sure to try the table d'hote. We thought the meal there beat every restaurant we ate at.

Estelle and her family made us feel very welcome, and Estelle was kind and helpful throughout our stay. We were near Bayeux, the coast, and the D-Day landing sites, which was handy. Breakfast in the big shared room was generous, with plenty of variety and especially tasty homemade jams and jellies. The rooms were quiet, roomy, and clean. There was also a fridge, microwave, and dishes for meals, plus books, board games, and a foosball table. We had a lovely stay at this gîte and enjoyed our time in Normandy even more because of their kindness.

The table d'hôtes was a real highlight. The food and ingredients were excellent, and the owners joined us between courses, making the meal feel so convivial. Catherine and Stéphane clearly put a lot into making guests comfortable, and we had a warm welcome. Our room was spacious, spotless, simple, and inviting. The house is well placed for the Normandy landing beaches and the Caen Memorial. We felt at home there, and it's an address worth remembering and sharing. Bravo for all your hard work.

We'd be happy to come back to Les Fermes de Pouligny. The homemade breakfast and other meals were delicious, and the beaches are only a few minutes away. A perfect stay, thank you!
