Bayeux is a lovely town, right in the center of Normandy. We stayed in a beautiful home surrounded by park-like grounds, and the hostess was warm and friendly.

Breakfast was a treat, with silver cutlery, several coffees, fruit, and, best of all, a selection of fresh croissants. After touring Normandy, we got some excellent tips on what to visit, and the owner pampered us at just the right point in our holiday. She was exceptionally kind, capable, and welcoming, and her dedication shows in the character-filled, beautifully kept garden. We spent three days at the 19th-century villa and, when we first arrived, wondered if the agency had made a mistake about the price. The rooms and facilities are gorgeous, almost like a museum, but with every comfort you could imagine. There was water in the fridge, complimentary cider in the room, and a range of soaps. TOP.

The owner is so sweet and interesting, and the property is just beautiful. We stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was the best place ever!
