The water was softly cascading while we slept, which made for a lovely night. The place felt authentic and everything was clean, without seeming old fashioned. We were welcomed so warmly, and the food was fantastic. A superb stay!

We only booked one night and really wished we could have stayed longer. It’s just 10-15 minutes from Evreux, yet felt far removed from everything, with peaceful scenery perfect for reading or just taking a proper break. Our bright, cosy room was clean, and breakfast was delicious. We ate it on the bridge with the river running underneath. The hosts were brilliant: they welcomed us with a beer, gave us a lift to the train station, then sent us home with a crate of local cider. A beautiful natural spot.

We had a lovely family weekend here with our 5-year-old son. The owner was very kind and attentive, taking time to make us feel welcome. The setting is peaceful, right by a stream and surrounded by nature, while still close to Paris and a range of cultural and sporting activities. We highly recommend it.
