What we'll remember most is how kindly Stephanie helped us when the airline's shipping company was dealing with our delayed luggage. Over the three days it took to sort out, she spent a lot of time making calls to customer service and handling emails. She wouldn't accept a tip or any payment for the time she gave us. Fabrice owns and pilots hot air balloons that take off from the field behind the property. Stephanie was a wonderful hostess, gracious and focused on her guests' comfort. The place itself is a beautifully restored 18th-century farmhouse, with very clean rooms, modern bathrooms, comfortable shared areas, a heated pool and carefully kept grounds. It's a relaxing base for the Dordogne: Beynac castle is under five minutes away by car, Sarlat-La-Caneda is about 20 minutes away, and villages, chateaus and castles are within a half-hour drive. Several cave-painting sites are less than an hour away. We won't forget her generosity.

Stephanie and her husband, who flies with Ballon Soaring, made us feel wonderfully looked after. The B and B has lovely hand-picked furniture and amenities, with care taken over every detail. Set where the mountains meet the majestic Dordogne river beneath those wide skies, it's a place to disconnect and take in the beauty and atmosphere of the Périgord.

We came for a week with our toddler and left feeling rested and so happy. Stephanie and Fabrice were phenomenal hosts, the room was sparkling clean and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. The location is very central, which made it easy to reach all the major sights. We'd highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

We loved using this B&B as a base to explore the region, and the views from the house were awesome. The home felt warm, comfortable and relaxing, and the owners were amazing. Breakfast was nice, and on several nights each week they also serve a delicious dinner. They offer balloon flights too if that's of interest. This is a wonderful place to stay, and we plan to come back for longer.

Stephanie gave us a lovely welcome and plenty of useful tips, and we really enjoyed our short stay at Les Hauts de St Vincent. We had dinner there one evening, and the family recipes were delicious. The room was comfortable, especially the bed, and the property is within easy reach of lots of interesting places to explore. We'd definitely recommend this guest house.
