I first visited with my daughter, and loved it enough to return with my mom. Every room has its own striking character, and the restored chateau pairs its original beauty with modern comforts. Breakfast was fresh and thoughtfully done each morning. Arnaud and Alexis are such lovely hosts, and made us feel at home from the start. It’s a welcoming, special place I’ll keep recommending and remembering fondly.

The grounds, rooms, history, and people all have such a lovely charm. We spent a beautiful weekend here as two women traveling on our own, and came away completely happy and grateful. Alexis and Aarnaud struck just the right balance between making the stay feel special and letting us relax. I’d give it six stars if I could!

From my top-floor room, I could look out over the pond and meadows, a lovely view for a solo stay. Coin de Paix (Corner of Peace) really does feel like a quiet retreat. I spent time walking through meadows and forests, sitting by the pond, visiting nearby towns for lunch and shopping, and taking a day trip to the seaside city of Redon, about an hour away. The château dates to around 1865, and staying in a place like that is magical. Still, Alexis and Arnaud are what made the visit stick with me. They’re warm and gracious, and made me feel at home. Whether you come alone or with others, it’s a lovely place to unwind, recharge, and enjoy the French countryside.

Whether you want a special venue or simply time with friends and family, Coin de Paix is the place. Alexis and Arnaud make you feel at home from the moment you walk in until you leave. It really is a little slice of heaven. I’m excited to return, and hope to make it a yearly trip.

We booked a romantic chateau escape at the last minute, and Alexis and Arnaud made us feel so welcome. They were incredibly personable and went above and beyond to keep us comfortable. It made the stay truly memorable.
